JourneyKIDS meets every Sunday morning! We have something available for all ages! We have a fully staffed nursery for all 3 services located in our preschool wing, and we have small groups for preschoolers at 9:45. For our elementary students, we feature a large group worship time at 9:45 that breaks into small groups. This is located in our Elementary Center inside the north entrance.

JourneyYOUTH meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45. Junior High and High School students meet in small groups. On Sunday evenings at 6pm, our youth meet at the South Hutch campus with youth from our Yoder campus. This includes worship, games, food and fun!

Journey@South Hutch Staff

Campus Pastor | Eric Miller
Eric grew up in Northeastern Ohio and is still plagued by his unbreakable loyalty to the Cleveland Browns. He and his wife, Karmen, followed God’s call to Kansas in 2005 and Eric joined the pastoral staff at Journey in 2007. He is a graduate of Hesston College’s Pastoral Ministry Program and Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary. Eric and Karmen have three children and have fallen in love with life in Reno County. Eric is an adventure junkie and can usually be talked into anything that involves a physical challenge. He enjoys exercise of all kinds, good coffee, reading, playing with his kids, and camping.
Discipleship Pastor | Jesse Blasdel
Jesse joined the Journey pastoral staff in October 2009. Jesse has recently transitioned half of his time to Discipleship Pastor at the SH Campus while still providing leadership to JourneyYOUTH. Jesse has degrees from Tabor College and Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary. He and his wife, Shiloh, moved to South Hutchinson from Lander, WY. They have four children: Carsen, Kennedy, Havily and Langley. Jesse is passionate about seeing people discover Jesus and the life that is found in Him.

And her goal is to have a blast while doing it!
Connect Pastor | Howard Wagler
Howard was raised in southern Indiana on a crop and dairy farm. After 20 successful years in the family business, he felt the call of God on his life to serve Him in a different way. In August of 1990, the Wagler family moved to Kansas and Howard enrolled in the Hesston College Pastoral Ministries Program. In 1992, he was called to be the Lead Pastor of South Hutchinson Mennonite, now known as Journey Mennonite Church. He retired from his lead pastor role in 2019, but he still has a passion for seeing the local church be a missional presence where it is planted. Most recently, Howard and his wife Cathy are coaching other congregations around the country to become a missionary presence in their context. Howard enjoys music, biking, motorcycling and running. He also loves tinkering with mechanical things, such as antique tractors. Howard & Cathy have three grown children and six grandchildren that they love to spend time with whenever possible.
JourneyKIDS Assistant Director | Molly Miller
Molly began working as JourneyKIDS Assistant Director in March of 2019. She and her husband Merlin live in rural Hutchinson. They have 5 children, Keaton, Trey, Kree, Trevin, and Tarik. Molly has been a stay at home mom for the past 12 years and has done daycare in her home over the years. Molly enjoys spending time with family, having coffee with friends, watching football, and hosting people in her home. She loves children and has a passion to help them learn and grow in their love for Jesus and becoming disciples to further the kingdom of God. Molly enjoys connecting with families and seeing them thrive in their homes as they follow Christ and lead their families!
